A guide to the wildlife of Komodo
By the innkeeper.
Enemies
Ice Slime
These weaklings are the first enemies you encounter in Slumber. They have a low attack, default speed, and the lowest HP. Just about as basic as you can get. Yeti
He doesn't look like a Yeti, he looks a lot more like a living chunk of ice. That's just what the innkeeper calls him, so that's what your going to call him Skeleton
These monsters are the remenents of past heros who failed their quest. Nobody quite knows why, but the world of Komodo is filled with these little buggers. They're not to hard, but it would probably be more effective to kill them with something other than fire. Too bad you can't get anything else. Wraith
These are quite possibly the most annoying black squiggly monsters you have ever faced. They are fast, and appear almost as much as skeletons. Where do they come from? Probably the economy. Lava Wheel
I don't know what hour I was up when I came up with these, but they are the most in-creative concept in the world. They are generic red balls, but bland as they are, they can be formidable. Keeping your distance is required. Green Slime
The older brother of the Ice Slime, this beasty digests it's victims, leaving only the bones. They really dislike skinny people though, not much to eat. Ent
This guy used to be just like the trees in your front yard. He sat there, did nothing, and just watched the world, but when the people cleared out a forest of trees to make a graveyard, he got pissed. He slowly arose from his slumber, and killed them all, burying them in the very graveyard they had planted. The morale of this story? He is slow, but does a lot of damage. What do you mean hat has nothing to do with the story!? |
Minibosses
Skeleton King
This man was a ruler, he was grand king of his patch of dirt. You see, this is how early Komodo worked, everyone got a patch of dirt, and was happy. Eventually, greed overtook him, and he tried to take someone else's patch of dirt. He was instantly stabbed and killed. Now, as an undead, he adorns a crown of fools gold, and since skeletons have no brains, they blindly follow his orders. Now he truly is king. |
Bosses
Mega Millipede
This is one mega millipede, and it spends it's whole life, burrowing through the walls of the discharge zone. It has marked it's territory, and why would you trespass? It regurgitates skeletons as a defense mechanism! But alas, you did, and now the only advice I can give you is, don't chase it through the tunnels, wait for it to come out, because fire will be less effective in there, and it's probably clogged with barf skeletons.
Phalgun Taman
Meet Phalgun. He is a powerful tenebromaner, with a knack for getting good grades in school, and chess. He's kinda unfocussed, and often takes a while to begin casting spells. Use this to your advantage, and make damage your top priority, because Phalgun will destroy you in a matter of seconds with his magic. Why is he attacking you? Probably because of all of the Phalgun jokes he got in school. (What do you call Phalgun on thanksgiving? Fullgun)
But you have to stop and think, why is Phalgun the first human you've seen so far? Besides me of course.
